  I moved into 1420 in April 2016. Here's where I stand one year later after signing my lease renewal to remain a resident for another year. The application/leasing process: The manager of the Property is exceptional, has been at the property for several years and will do everything possible to make sure the application/leasing experience goes smoothly. I looked at several apartments over multiple visits to the property. Once i decided on the one i wanted they worked with me to meet my timing restraints between moving out of my old apartment and into my new place at 1420 Magnolia. From start to finish of the application process I was kept updated, provided feedback to any issues that came up and they worked with me to ensure I was able to quickly get approved and everything set for my move in. The property: 1420 Magnolia is a ten year old property. That said, you do not have all of the latest top amenities which are being offered by some of the new properties in the city. In return, you also do not have small units, high rent prices and extra charges such as pet rent, trash service fees, etc.. There is a large pool, a gym with a workout area, free weights, machines and an exercise room. There is covered/garage parking, a business center, laundry room, pet area and easy access into the front and back of the property. The grounds are very well maintained, the common areas constantly being updated and maintained and gated entrances. Location: I am now on my third year living in Charlotte and have found where you pick to live is key to how much time you will spend trying to get to where you are going. 1420 is in a great location, walking distance to the market, restaurants, parks, movie theater and Park Road Shopping Center. It is about 5-10 minutes from SouthPark Mall, 15-20 minutes to Uptown and an easy drive to the airport and access to the major highways. Bottom Line: If you are looking for all of the latest trends being offered in the apartment community do not look at 1420. If you are looking for a great community, exceptional management/leasing team, well maintained property that provides all of the basics you actually use - this is your place.
